Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026
In short
We use a small set of cookies to keep the site running, remember your preferences, and understand how articles are read. Analytics and advertising cookies only fire after you give consent.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on arudy-tourisme.com, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to site owners.
2. Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to function (session management, security, language preference). These cannot be disabled.
- Functional cookies — remember your preferences such as theme, region, and previously viewed routes.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are popular, and where things break. Data is aggregated where possible.
- Advertising cookies — used only with your consent. They may be set by us or by third-party partners to display relevant ads.
3. Third-party cookies
Some pages embed content or services from third parties (analytics platforms, social media, video providers, payment processors). These third parties may set their own cookies. We do not control these cookies, and you should review the third party's own privacy and cookie policies.
4. How to manage cookies
You can usually accept or refuse cookies through our cookie banner. You can also configure your browser to block or alert you about cookies. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
5. Do Not Track signals
We respect Global Privacy Control signals where required by law. Where it applies, receiving a GPC signal will be treated as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal data.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as our cookie use evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
7. Cookie retention periods
Strictly necessary cookies typically expire when you close the browser tab (session cookies). Functional and preference cookies are stored for up to 12 months. Analytics cookies are stored for up to 14 months. No single cookie set by Arudy persists longer than 24 months without being refreshed by an active visit.
8. Updating your consent
You can revisit and change your cookie choices at any time by clearing your browser's site data for arudy-tourisme.com, which will trigger the consent banner again on your next visit. We're working on an in-page "manage cookies" link as well.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our cookie use evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.
